From Bergen park on Colorado Highway 103, Juniper Pass is approximately 15 miles west, with an elevation gain of 3,600 feet. Colorado 103 ends in Idaho Springs, about 15 miles beyond Juniper Pass.

Juniper Pass is about 3 miles east of Echo Lake and the road up to Mt. Evans. At the road junction to Mt. Evans, there is a restaurant that is open during the summer months.
